Based on the title and cover of the book, I assumed Allia Zobel Nolan’s newest book "When God Turned on the Light" would be a traditional take on the creation story as told in the book of Genesis. However, I was greeted by something all together different but accurate and profound. When God Turned on the Light takes both children and adults on a journey from creation to Christ and teaches that God is the source of all life and light. This book is written in a lyrical style and only contains a sentence or two per page. There is an accompanying vibrant illustration on each page. The illustration invites children to take a closer look. I must admit that I had to read this books several times before I was able to pick up on the deeper meaning in the book. However, this is one of the things that endear this book to me. It is simple enough for a child to enjoy but complex enough for an adult not to mind reading it over and over again. Well that is all for this week, please continue to pray for me. Specifically, pray that I complete my next book by the end of May 2015. The draft of my next book has been done for over a month; however, I have lacked the motivation/energy to finish it. As always, know I am praying for you. Corine
