Hello everyone,
Thanks for stopping my blog for the Christian Authors Blog Hop and Giveaway. For those of you who are new here, I just want to tell you a little about myself. I currently live in the great state of Maryland where I work full-time as a clinical psychologist. However, my passion is writing Christian Children Books. My first book: Why We Give Gifts at Christmas Time is perfect for this time of the year. I also have several other titles including Jaden Goes to Foster Care; My Journey with Jesus Christ; Teaching Christ’s Children About Anger; What is Love; and Why I Give. How long have you been writing for the Christian market? I started writing for the Christian market over ten years ago but did not publish my first book until 2012. Over the years I have learned a lot about the book publishing process. In fact, I am thinking about helping others publish in 2016. If you want to know more about publishing children's books or have a specific question for me please email me using the contact tab. Name one challenge facing Christian writers today. I actually think there are two big problems facing Christian writers today. 1) companies that prey on Christian writers by hiding behind the "Christian title." 2) the massive closing of Christian book stores. While I love Amazon, I also recognize that many local/independent books stores cannot compete with Amazon. As a result, in the last few years there has been a massive amount of Christian book stores that closed. With each closing, Christian writers lose another opportunity to network and spread the word about their books. What is one thing you would like readers to know about you or your writing? What a lot of readers do not realize is that there are a lot of FREE lessons extras to go along with each of my books. The lesson extras include coloring and handwriting pages, as well as activity sheets. My extras are currently free (for a limited time) and can be founded in the member section of this website. Before you leave my blog, be sure to enter to win a copy of my first book Why We Give Gifts at Christmas Time.

I have seen this idea floating around the internet for quite a while now and just love it. As a child, I loved hearing stories read to me; as an adult, I love reading stories to the little people in my life. That is why I love this idea of reading a different Christmas Book each day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a still relatively new Christian children’s writer, I wanted to take a moment to tell you about my Christmas picture book and the books of two of my friends who are also relatively new Christian children’s writers. I strongly encourage you to add The Innkeeper’s Dog, The First Christmas and Why We Give Gifts at Christmas Time to your Christmas reading list for several reasons. Each book is beautifully illustrated with characters children can identify with. Every child will tell you that the pictures in a book are worth way more than the words. Each book is Christ centered.
Each book has additional activities you can do to enhance learning.
Each of the above books are available from Amazon for less than $10 each. So what do you think of the above books? Are they worth adding to your Christmas list?Do you know of other Christmas book by relatively new Christian children’s writer, please feel free to mention them below.
Until next time, continue to pray for me as I pray for you, Corine |
